How to meet HCI Life Coach certification requirements

To earn the Health Coach Institute Life Coach Certification, you must successfully complete the following:

  1. Knowledge Assessments
    • Complete a 10 question quiz covering content from Modules 1–6.
  2. Applied Learning
    • Complete a case study scenario assessment covering content from Modules 7–11.
  3. Skills Demonstrations
      • Complete 12 Skills Applications with an HCI Peer, demonstrating proficiency in core coaching competencies.
      • Each skills application includes a short self-reflection. These exercises are designed for YOU first; to help you embody the tools in your own life, and then to practice how you can apply them with future clients.
      • After completing each Skills Application, submit your reflection in the assignment area for credit toward your certification requirements.
  4. Note: You may upload your response in any format you choose - add a written file, record audio, record video, or type your response directly in the comment section.
  5. Practicum Experience
    • Conduct 3 practicum coaching sessions with real clients. These can be anyone you choose, as long as they are not within the course.
    • Submit post-call reflections for each session, documenting client progress and self-assessment.
  6. Final Exam
    • Complete a 50 question multiple-choice final exam covering key concepts from all course modules. The exam is designed to assess your understanding of the coaching frameworks, tools, and competencies you’ve learned.
    • You must achieve a passing score of 80% to meet certification requirements.
    • You’ll have 3 attempts to successfully complete the exam.
    • The exam is open-book.
